Since mid 2016 untill August 2018, the Foundation for Press Freedom traveled to different parts of the country to gather information, interview journalists and analize information to understand how conflict affected regional media in Colombia.

Until August 2018, according to the most recent update, FLIP's Center of Studies for Freedom of Expression has found that around 7.8 million people in Colombia lives in silence, meaning that this amount of people has no access to local news in their municipalities.
